This role is based in the Business Management team, reports to the Senior Business Development Manager and manages a small team. The post holder will collaborate with other members of the Business Development team, work closely with other members of Business Management team and staff across CPRD, and will regularly liaise with existing and potential clients, partners, stakeholders and staff within the MHRA.


Key responsibilities:


Analyse UK and global markets to identify business development and marketing opportunities to promote CPRD’s services, in line with CPRD strategic priorities, resources and dependencies.


Lead targeted business campaigns to promote CPRD products and services to potential customers including through individual meetings tailored to customers’ needs.


Ensure effective processes are in place for coordinating, maintaining and managing existing client accounts, proactively supporting customers through regular liaison.


Provide regular reports on management information on activities, trends and performance against agreed metrics and targets.


Provide effective line management and mentoring to the team, promoting a performance management culture.


The successful candidate will have the following:


A degree in Health or Life Sciences 


Demonstrable evidence of building and sustaining productive relationships with a variety of customers, able to rapidly and effectively respond to different stakeholder needs. 


Creative self-starter, solution focused, able to demonstrate initiative, proactively anticipating issues and instigating pragmatic solutions to capitalise on opportunities or manage risks. 


Good team player, working closely with colleagues to deliver organisational objectives. Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal accountability, ensuring tasks, projects and issues are appropriately dealt with to their successful delivery or conclusion. 


Good project management skills, proficient at managing competing demands and concurrent activities, effectively delivering a portfolio of projects and activities on time and to target.
