The successful candidate will hold:
• A degree in either a computer science, software engineering, or maths-based subject.
• In depth knowledge of developing software of medium to high complexity using an object-orientated or scripting programming language, including but not limited to .NET, Java, or Python, in an academic or commercial environment.
• Experience in being good team player, working closely with colleagues to deliver organisational objectives. Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal accountability, ensuring tasks, projects and issues are appropriately dealt with to their successful delivery or conclusion.
• Proven ability of analysing existing intricate codebases of programmes, processes, or services to locate bugs or identify opportunities for improvements and optimisations.
• Experience of being a creative self-starter, solution focused, and able to demonstrate initiative and effectively deal with requirements to develop applications that meet user needs.
