We are seeking a senior level contracts specialist with extensive experience of intellectual property law and governance relating to the use of clinical data in research to join our expanding team. You will have led on drafting and negotiating research and business contracts, be solution-focused and enjoy working within a team in a client-facing role to deliver organisational objectives to deadlines.


Some key responsibilities of this role include leading on contract negotiation with CPRD’s stakeholders, Post-signature management of contracts and legal documents, protecting CPRD’s reputation and business interests and supporting business improvement.


The successful candidate will have professional business, legal or paralegal qualification and/or relevant experience, preferably gained in a research environment in academia or industry. You will also possess knowledge and understanding of intellectual property and data protection legislation and governance relating the use of patient data in research, including GDPR.


The post holder will have extensive experience of leading on drafting and negotiating effective research and business contracts and be able to demonstrate experience in maintaining contract management systems and providing management status reports. We are looking for an expert negotiator, able to reach resolution through a collaborative approach to deliver business objectives.
