The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
• Degree or further education qualification in either a computer science or IT-based subject.
• Previous experience in a quality assurance tester role
• In depth knowledge of using an object-orientated or scripting programming language, such as but not limited to .NET, Java, or Python, to develop re-usable test libraries.
• Experience of using open source tools such as Selenium for front-end automation and RestAssured for API testing, and using a build automation tool, such as Maven or Gradle.
• Track record of creating and executing manual, automated, and regression test scripts/scenarios and complex test data sets to accompany those scripts.
• Creative self-starter, solution focused, able to demonstrate initiative and effectively deal with requirements ambiguity to develop pragmatic test solutions that focus on researcher needs
• Good team player, working closely with colleagues to deliver organisational objectives. Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal accountability, ensuring tasks, projects and issues are appropriately dealt with to their successful delivery or conclusion.
