The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:


Degree or further education qualification in either a computer science or IT-based subject.  

Previous experience in a quality assurance tester role

In depth knowledge of using an object-orientated or scripting programming language, such as but not limited to .NET, Java, or Python, to develop re-usable test libraries.

Experience of using open source tools such as Selenium for front-end automation and RestAssured for API testing, and using a build automation tool, such as Maven or Gradle.

Track record of creating and executing manual, automated, and regression test scripts/scenarios and complex test data sets to accompany those scripts.

Creative self-starter, solution focused, able to demonstrate initiative and effectively deal with requirements ambiguity to develop pragmatic test solutions that focus on researcher needs

Good team player, working closely with colleagues to deliver organisational objectives. Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal accountability, ensuring tasks, projects and issues are appropriately dealt with to their successful delivery or conclusion.
