In this role, you will act as 2nd or 3rd line support for incidents, problems and changes to solutions and services. You will have advanced Linux and High-Performance Computing skills, in order to provide advanced day-to-day system administration of our Unix and HPC infrastructure and applications. You will play a key role in supporting and developing leading edge infrastructure to support our activities in Bioinformatic analysis, Gene Image analysis, and other requirements for Scientific Computing and Data Science. You will assist in the development of a clear roadmap for operational excellence on the platform through change management, upgrades and backups, advise on systems status, provide metrics on utilisation to identify bottlenecks and diagnose and resolve issues. You will manage and develop relationships with the science teams to understand computational challenges and suggest solutions utilizing the HPC platform.
