The post-holder will be expected to work both independently and as a statistician in multidisciplinary project teams. In addition, they may be expected to assume line-management responsibilities within the Biostatistics group.
The ideal candidate would have a Post-graduate qualification in Statistics or equivalent qualification/relevant experience, alongside a broad working knowledge and sound understanding of applied statistics gained through both qualifications and experience, ideally in the areas of non-clinical drug development, the quality control of biological medicines or related.
It is expected from the candidate to
have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to
explain statistical methods, results and their implications to
non-statisticians and provide formal or informal training in statistical
methods and software. As well as the ability to develop and maintain good
collaborative working relationships and work as statistician in
multidisciplinary project teams, leading to productive output and the promotion
of good statistical practice.
