Educated to Masters level, or with the equivalent professional experience, you will be able to write and understand code in a mixture of scripting, interpreted and compiled languages; including ideally Python, Perl, R and C++ and be able to work effectively in a clustered Unix environment. In addition you will have:

 

• The ability to interpret bioinformatic, scientific and statistical reports and data.

• An understanding of genetics; with knowledge of how Next Generation Sequencing data is used to answer biological questions. Knowledge of stem cells an advantage.

• Experience working in a bioinformatics, engineering, scientific or computing team.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to provide concise briefings at the highest level. Experience of an ISO quality system an advantage.
